About the Position: The U.S. Army Contracting Command was established on March 14,2008. The mission is to oversee more than $85 billion in contracts annually and focus on maintaining and improving the Army's ability to respond globally in support of the warfighter's needs.
Duties
Provide analysis of proposed administrative changes to human resource regulations.
Maintain liaison with higher headquarters and civilian personnel office to obtain, clarify, or submit information pertinent to human resource issues.
Utilize knowledge of the missions of the command to perform assigned special projects.
Execute recruitment, placement, realignment, reorganizations and related human resource programs.
Advise management on recruitment strategies, sources, and special programs.
Make recommendations to management on sensitive personnel issues that may adversely affect employees.
Provide advice/guidance on policy, directives and guidelines on full range of personnel matters.
Perform a variety of special nonrecurring projects and studies which involve defining the problem, gathering data, and preparing final report.

GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 2 of the 3:(1) Assisting with special projects; (2) Assisting manager on recruitment and placement strategies; (3) Researching and implementing human resources policy and procedures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 3 of the 5:(1) Researching and providing guidance for non-routine personnel situations raised by management; (2) Providing recommendations to management on complex personnel actions; (3) Maintaining knowledge of policies concerning personnel management practices; (4) Gathering and analyzing data to be used for special projects; (5) Executing recruitment, placement, realignments and reorganizations in accordance with established program goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
