You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMMAND OPERATIONS DIVISION of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. #LI-NAVSUPWSS

Duties

You will provide executive direction, assistance, and support for all office administrative operations within the office of the Command Operations Division. You will research, develop, and prepare documents, position papers, and briefings for Command leadership. You will utilize Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) to gather, organize, and share information. You will assist in coordinating visits, command briefing products, and drafting itineraries. You will complete assignments within information systems, such as the NAVSUP tasker system and Defense Travel System (DTS). You will be responsible for adhering to Navy administrative policies, procedures, and guidelines in written communication and work products.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

For the GS-11 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing a wide-range of administrative support and executive direction for all office administrative operations by analyzing, organizing, and managing information, materials, and documents. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying conventional and complex fact finding, analytical and problem-solving methods and techniques to gather, analyze and evaluate all incoming actions which may include policies, regulations and procedural changes of an operational nature; 2) Applying knowledge of pertinent laws, policies, and precedents, major issues, program goals, and work processes to support management's philosophy and requirements of the organization; 3) Participating and coordinating conferences and meetings with staff representatives of other agencies and serving as liaison with such officials during their visits; 4) Providing administrative management and technical support in the form of office supply management, calendar maintenance/scheduling, and travel planning and coordination utilizing Defense Travel System (DTS); and 5) Preparing briefings, reports, slides, forms, and other correspondence, etc. using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). For the GS-09 grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing administrative support and assistance for all office administrative operations: Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying knowledge of pertinent laws, policies, program goals, and work processes to support the requirements of the organization; 2) Participating and coordinating conferences and meetings with staff representatives of other agencies; 4) Providing administrative support in the form of office supply management, calendar maintenance/scheduling, and travel planning and coordination utilizing Defense Travel System (DTS); and 4) Preparing briefings, reports, and other correspondence, etc. using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For the GS-11 Grade Level:
-Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
-Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
-Possession of an LL.M, that is related to this position being filled.
OR
-A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

For the GS-09 Grade Level:
-Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
-Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
-Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
OR
-A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
