About the Position: Position will be filled as a temporary promotion NTE 13 months and may be converted permanent. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years.
Duties
Serve as budget analyst for the organization executing of Operations and Maintenance (OMA) Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) requirements.
Oversee funding mechanisms throughout the complete Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) cycle to ensure proper integration, data integrity and consistency in presentation.
Prepare and present appropriate consolidated, and/or special budget data for management review and decision support.
Provide expert advice to program and financial management officials.
Develop, prepare and maintain major program input for briefings, speeches, testimony, or presentation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Achieve Level II Certification in Business- Financial Management within 24 months of the effective date.
- This position may require up to 25% temporary duty travel.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is a term position NTE 13 months.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Analyze and review budget estimates; 2) Evaluate budget execution and make recommendations; 3) Prepare financial reports using accounting software such as: General Fund Expertise Business System (GFEBS) to execute annual budgets and expenditures; 4) Interpret budget/financial regulations, AND 5) Advise management on budget requirements and impact on program operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
