You will serve as a Program Manager Representative providing technical support to Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems 80 (PEO IWS 80), PEO Carriers, Supervisor of Shipbuilding Newport News (SOSNN), Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), and SEA 05V in Combat Systems Engineering of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in San Diego, CA.
Duties
You will serve as a Program Manager Representative (PMR) for Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS) platforms.
You will provide leadership, coordination, project planning and overall task management of all New Construction and modernization efforts.
You will coordinate and implement all technical efforts to support the pre-planning and execution of modernization tasking.
You will ensure structured, focused, and timely coordination efforts across a diverse government and contractor team.
You will monitor concerns regarding redelivery expectations and capabilities have been addressed and lead meetings to resolve concerns.
You will closely coordinate configuration, installation, and testing schedules and issues.
You will notify project leadership when Ship's Force work cannot be completed by scheduled or key event completion dates.
You will provide recommendations for appropriate corrective actions to support required completion.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering project planning and overall task management by identifying specifications and design requirements to facilitate installation of new construction or modernization of Combat Systems Engineering projects.
