About the Position: Serves as an Administrative Support Assistant performing support duties/actions and actively participates in the day-to-day administration of the Operations Office, for Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE), located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Serves as the battalion subject matter expert for school packets requiring knowledge of GEARS and ATRRS to request, confirm, track, and manage through school completion.
Validates and executes completion of workflow through appropriate systems/channels in order to ensure timely submission of school’s packets.
Provide meeting slides/ presentations, and notes, and identify, incorporate, and provide supporting documents for key leaders as required.
Conduct operational necessities such as reviewing, analyzing, delegating, and managing taskings and operations orders, office management, computer operation, answering phone calls and receiving visitors.
Maintain the office calendar in Outlook providing office personnel direction and guidance for all daily activities, minimizing schedule conflicts, meetings, and requirements while ensuring completion of key battle rhythm events with Brigade.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting operational necessities such as proofreading of tasking and operations orders, office management, computer operation, answering phone calls and receiving visitors; create and manage organization's staff training meetings, and other presentations as required; utilizing automated systems such as ATRRS and GEARS to track all personnel through school progression; manage and update Battalion website; and schedule, manage, and set up Video Teleconferences (VTC) to include projector and conference room preparation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
