About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst and advisor for one or more major organizational elements of the activity. Plans, establishes, monitors and participates in the control and responsibility for the formulation, presentation, and execution of Project Manager (PM) programs involving life cycle program plans, assigned systems and equipment.
Duties
Responsible for formulation, presentation, and execution of the annual operating budget.
Plans, directs, and executes actions required to formulate, develop, coordinate and implement policies and guidelines governing the designated funding appropriation portion of major programs.
Monitors the use, rate of expenditure and execution of the approved operating budget to assure that funds are properly allocated and are being obligated and spent in a timely and effective manner.
Responsible for execution of funds through General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).
Maintain records of obligations and expenditures in database for assigned programs.
Advises program managers and other interested parties on the status and availability of funds in different budget accounts and all aspects of the command and installation budget process which apply to their programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance, or access, for duration of employment.
- This position requires submission of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

- Position requires incumbent be able to obtain and maintain Financial Management Certification Level 2.
