About the Position: as Management Analyst located at HQ, FORSCOM, Fort Liberty, NC. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Develops methods of portraying unit status in report formats, which are executive management tools, with the most valuable and accurate information for use by decision makers. Updates appropriate Unit Status reports and Basic Identity Data Elements in the Defense Readiness Reporting System data base and ensures they are forwarded to OSD, JCS, HQDA, and other commands as required. Provides complete functional support to readiness analysts, USR, and UICIO personnel in the use of the system and output products. Briefs senior leaders on complex systemic issues with recommended courses of action to resolve issues both internal and external to FORSCOM operations. Identifies and solves systemic problems to meet information requirements.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes : Experience with Unit Status Reporting (USR) and Force Registration system; 2). Experience with testing, evaluating and reporting requirements to improve the system; 3). Review and validate unit readiness reports and Unit Identification Codes that meet regulatory and command requirements; AND, 4). Ability to apply knowledge of pertinent laws, DOD/Army regulations, directives, and instructions and polices concerning operations, mobilization and readiness programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
