About the Position: Serves as the Supervisory Casualty Affairs Coordinator, managing casualty and mortuary operations for Fort Huachuca.
Duties
Supervise three or more employees in all aspects of their daily operations.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, and established schedules for work completion.
Assign work based on priorities, requirements of assignments, and capabilities of employees.
Provide Casualty Reporting, coordinates Casualty Notification, coordinates Casualty Assistance, coordinates Next Of Kin Travel, Coordinates Investigations, provides status reports and updates the Defense Information Casualty Processing Systems.
Partner with Family Morale Welfare and Relief Command’s long term Survivor Outreach Services by supervising and providing quality assurance on CAC employee’s interaction with Long Term Support Coordinators and Financial Counselors.
Identify Remains, Coordinates and accepts Mortuary Services from contractors on behalf of the Army, coordinates the Disposition of Remains and coordinates the Disposition of Personnel Effects.
Manage and provides Quality Assurance for the Army’s Casualty program in an Area of Responsibility (AOR) that touches several states, and supports Soldiers, Army Veterans, Spouses, and Retirees.
Provide casualty subject matter expertise for all units in the CAC AOR by issuing guidance, responding to request for information from supporting commands, and advising the Garrison Commander on Casualty Operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 25%.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Position requires working on weekend, evenings, holidays occasionally.
- Positions requires to be on call occasionally.
