You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVFAC ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER (EXWC) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-13. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-13 step 10 level.
Duties
You will assign work to logistics management specialists based on priorities, consideration of assignment difficulty and requirements, and the employee's capabilities to accomplish assignments.
You will manage integrated logistical support (ILS) tasks or resources (e.g., materials, manpower, facilities, supply support, test equipment, packaging, storage, transportation, technical data) to meet support requirements.
You will determine logistics support resources for maintenance planning, technical data, training, facilities, computer resources, or packaging requirements.
You will negotiate resource requirements with customer (e.g., program managers, integrated product teams) to accomplish program tasks or assignments.
You will improve system development or sustainment by implementing new integrated logistics support (ILS) management operations.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 or NT-2 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing practices and regulations pertaining to the broad field of logistics management related to a weapon system project/program; 2) Assuring that critical actions are integrated and properly executed to provide a cohesive approach to logistics support requirements; 3) Applying a variety of analytical methods and techniques to unique and complex logistics matters; and 4) Maintaining liaison with DoN/DOD agencies, activities and industry engaged in logistics activities.
