About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Coordinates scheduling of interviews (e.g., telephonic, in-person, virtual) and selection boards for the command.
Receives documents from employees authorizing changes affecting payroll accounts, makes required changes, updates master employee records, loads new accounting data for fiscal year changes, and maintains official files regarding employee pay.
Utilizes office automation systems and software packages to accomplish work (e.g., ATAAPS, DCPS, DCPDS, DTS EMPReS, DPMAP, AutoNOA, Microsoft Office Suite).
Types correspondence, reports, and other material in final form from rough draft, notes, or oral instructions.
Reviews and prepares travel vouchers upon completion of travel for submission to DFAS for payment.
Attends required training as specified by the supervisor.
Inventories and monitors supply usage, and submits requisitions when supplies are low or when specific items are needed that are not stocked.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.
- Prior to appointment applicants are required to sign a statement indicating they understand the conditions of employment or assignment to the position and acknowledge the consequences of failing to meet and maintain those required conditions.
- Must be a qualified typist.
- Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 5 percent of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and retain access to Intelligence Community secured facilities and networks.
- IAW Change 3 to AR 600-85 Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Financial disclosure is required for this position.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Top-Secret security clearance with eligibility to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe One Year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1. Consolidates candidate packets, schedules telephonic and in-person interviews, coordinates with external agencies such as US military Entrance Processing Command (MEPCOM) to review and ensure Direct Commissioning (DC) Program requirements for accessions are met. 2. Maintains employee records, time and attendance card, and labor and production for personnel within the command. 3. Utilizes office automation systems and software to accomplish work. (e.i. ATAAPS, DCPS, DCPDS, DTS, EMPReS, DPMAP, AutoNOA, and/or Microsoft Office Suite). 4. Prepares travel arrangements ensuring all documentation is submitted within the required timeframe, schedules transportation, makes motel/hotel reservations, and sets up invitational travel orders.
