You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the ORDNANCE OPERATIONS AND LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT of NMCPAC EAST ASIA DIVISION. Salary Range: GS-11: $75,640 - $98,330 GS-12: $90,662 - $117,856

Duties

You will serve as project lead for ordnance load planning. You will monitor and assess ordnance inventory databases providing direct oversight of ordnance physical management and accounting and accountability program performance at subordinate Commands. You will develop, monitor, and coordinate the execution and implementation of policy, programs and procedures related to ammunition stock point and retail ammunition management and inventory/storage operations management. You will manage database tools and monitor performance standards for trends. You will conduct studies involving interpretation of Navy policy regarding inventory management and statistical sampling standards and develop policies and procedures to ensure ordnance inventory standards are in compliance. You will provide consultant service for Headquarters and site personnel upon request.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

For the GS 12:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing ordnance or ammunition inventory system data to identify program deficiencies by utilizing analysis techniques (e.g., qualitative or quantitative studies, assessments,) to develop recommendations for policy or procedural changes that increase efficiency for ordnance logistics. For the GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing ordnance or ammunition inventory system data to develop reports or studies in order to identify deficiencies and make recommendations for improving ordnance logistics. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For the GS 11 only:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
