About the Position: Serves as a senior analyst in the AMCOM Business Management Directorate (BMD) providing technical advice and guidance to the AMCOM leadership, including SES level officials, senior staff managers and Separate Office Directors/Chiefs relative to the performance of programmatic plans and budget functions.
Duties
Provide advice to supervisory and other key operating personnel with respect to the program progress.
Provide advice to program officials, accountants, budget analysts and others on financial regulations pertinent to program operations and procedures.
Coordinates and prepares documents supporting customer funded requirements.
Research new data relevant to customer funds and program situations to informing supervisor or higher-grade employee of changes.
Assess the effectiveness of the administrative control systems to prevent misappropriation of funds in the organization.
Assignments required analysis of financial transaction errors to resolution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance during the duration of employment.
- You may be expected to travel up to 25% for this position.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Applying qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of programs; (2) Analyzing projects and preparing complex studies to provide information to make decisions on administrative and programmatic aspects of agency operations; (3) Study and analyze directives, regulations, and other pertinent material to determine the kind, source, and frequency of major reports and data needed (4) Recommending courses of action to be taken as a result of troubleshooting and research.
