Duties
Process a wide variety of clerical and military personnel actions for the organization.
Process a variety of personnel actions for officers and enlisted Soldiers.
Analyze and review recommendations for awards for compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
Advise military personnel of assignment requirements.
Prioritize and monitor actions to ensure timely processing.
Prepare a variety of documents/reports using automated systems/software.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- During duty hours, the position incumbent may be required to conduct soldier readiness processing and/or to man emergency operation centers in the event of emergency deployment readiness exercises or other exercises or emergencies.
- The position is subject to recall after duty hours as necessary.
- The position incumbent is subject to performing shift work.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing administrative support functions associated with processing personnel actions (e.g., travel actions, assignments, awards, benefits, promotions/advancements, separations and retirements); and 2) Maintaining personnel records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
