About the Position:This position is located on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii which is nestled at the foot of the Waianae mountain range on the island of Oahu. Duties

Review and analyze various reports, statements, and requests concerning enlisted personnel assignments. Advise and assist both staff and individuals concerned on the steps to be taken in the process of personnel actions. Conduct annual records review for all assigned Soldiers directing the update of information. Process enlisted and officer personnel actions. Authenticate recommendations as to granting requests for deferments, retirements, extensions, reassignments and transfers in accordance with governing policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent must be a qualified typist.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalComputer LiteracyManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
