About the Position: Serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military/Office Automation), with the Army Review Boards Agency (ARBA). Reviews applications and supporting information for the correction of military records or upgrade of discharges submitted to ARBA.

Duties

Utilize a scanner in a high-volume environment to ensure all documents or evidence related to Agency cases are digitized or memorialized. Prepare and account for official military personnel files, for return to the National Archives Records Administration (NARA). Input applicable data into the Agency’s automated case tracking system. Accurately places case files into the electronic personnel record que for folder processing. Provide general administrative support.

Specialized experience: One year of experience in the Federal service which includes providing administrative and military personnel support; utilizing automated/systems such as Microsoft Office and/or personnel systems; reviewing military personnel records for accuracy and completeness; and providing clear and comprehensive written and oral responses to inquiries and request. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06 or above). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailClericalHuman Resources Technology Usage Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
