About the Position: Performs duties as the Support Operations Officer for Fleet Management Expansion, Fort Leonard Wood. Plans, coordinates, and directs a variety of logistics operations and functions in several units.
Duties
Execute supervisory and management responsibilities for assigned subordinate personnel.
Determine manpower, tooling, material requirements, and methods to be used and plans work assignments considering trades or other availability of manpower and equipment, deadlines, and other work for which responsible.
Plan and schedule work assignments on a long-range basis for accomplishment within schedules and priorities established by higher level management in field maintenance level work.
Oversee maintenance and Class IX Supply operations in support of the maintenance mission.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent must be capable of operating a motor vehicle, maintaining a valid state driver's license. The incumbent will be required to obtain a government driver's license.
- Position may require evening, weekend and/or holiday hours, to include mandatory overtime as mission dictates.
- TDY travel may occasionally be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) integrating supply and maintenance functions into a unified logistics program; 2) collecting equipment availability and readiness data on various logistic information systems for use in reporting and analyzing issues in a field level maintenance organization; 3) analyzing fleet wide logistics readiness posture in terms of equipment status, supply support capabilities and regulatory policy and guidance necessary to achieve the highest level of maintenance readiness; and 4) maintaining oversight and access over all logistics system accounts in Tactical Enterprise Logistics Systems (TELS) or a similar system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
