About the Position: This position serves as the Deputy Product Lead Electronic Attack (PL EA) within Project Manager Electronic Warfare and Cyber organization under PEO IEW&S at duty station Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. PL EA is responsible for equipping the force with ground and air electronic attack capabilities.

Duties

Responsible for providing guidance and direction for development, acquisition, testing, product improvement, fielding, and sustainment of projects. Manage a diverse team consisting of assigned civilian and military personnel, matrix and support civilian and their efforts of supporting contractor teams. Advice officials with broader and higher responsibilities on status of projects, progress made, projected future plans, and problems. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities and scheduling completion.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Advanced in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Acquisition StrategyAdministration and ManagementAdministration and ManagementCommunicationsHuman Resources ManagementHuman Resources Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent NH-0/GS-13.
