Duties
Represents the Command at high-level meetings with key officials of military services, industry, academia, State and local governments, and foreign governments.
Serves as principal advisor to Army leadership on matters relating to research, technology development and investment, and technology transition.
Approves or decides on personnel actions, makes selections on key positions, and approves selections made by subordinate supervisors.
Exercises managerial authority to set long-range goals and objectives, translate objectives into specific Command projects, and determine program emphasis.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A one year probationary period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties may be required unless previously completed.
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires submission of a Financial Disclosure Report OGE-450 upon entry and annually thereafter.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialzied experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level which includes: 1) Management and execution of business activities, critical support, and long-range strategic planning; and 2) The planning and execution of financial processes.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
