You will serve as a INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST (ENVIRONMENTAL) in the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will manage the collection, validation, and maintenance of Navy environmental data contained in the Environmental Data Metrics (EDM) modules located on the Environmental Program Requirements (EPR) portal. You will work closely with team members to ensure data management requirements are met including providing proper tools to validate data collected from reporting installations. You will coordinate with the data management team in the development and implementation of the schedule, process, and priorities for report production, development, and documentation. You will oversee the development of computer based environmental compliance data tacking systems.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS- 11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing trend analysis and preparing specialized reports; 2) Preparing statements of work, budgets, schedules, status briefs, and reports; and 3) Assisting customers with information systems (e.g. Environmental Program Requirements (EPR) Web, SharePoint, Teams Channels, etc.).**Note** This information must be clearly supported in your resume. To qualify for the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Managing environmental data collection, conducting quality assurance and quality control evaluations, performing trend analysis and evaluations, and developing presentations of environmental compliance data; 2) Providing technical and policy support during system or database development and maintenance; and 3) Reviewing, verifying, and analyzing data to identify problems and develop creative solutions.**Note** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
