You will serve as a TRAVEL PROGRAM MANAGER in the Defense Travel System (DTS) and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will be responsible for the oversight and management of the government travel program, Defense Travel System (DTS), and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program at NAVFAC EXWC.
You will conduct random audits of DTS travel authorizations and vouchers to ensure compliancy is within the DoD FMR, JTR, and other applicable regulations and policies related to travel and GTCC programs.
You will serve as the primary APC for the Command's Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program.
You will ensure all required training is applied IAW prescribed published guidance and directives and training is documented accordingly.
You will ensure training requirements for all DTS Approving and Routing Officials and Non-DTS Entry Agents have been validated, instructions have been provided on how to complete training requirements, and training certificates have been collected.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1. Conducting audits of DTS travel authorizations and vouchers to ensure compliance with the DoD FMR, JTR, and other applicable regulations and policies related to travel and GTCC programs; 2. Identifying and reporting problems/errors to the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) or the appropriate personnel for resolution; 3. Providing advice, guidance, and training to travelers on travel regulations, DTS program requirements, and the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program.
