Duties

You will perform all essential tasks to accomplish receiving, small package shipping, and disposal operations. You will operate manual material handling equipment to include, but not limited to, forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. You will use inventory management equipment such as computers, printers, and hand-held scanners. You will process transactions in the following areas: small package shipping, receipt control, issuing material, put aways, frustrated transactions, and disposal. You will ensure all Key Supporting Documentation are submitted to the transaction records in a timely and effective manner to maintain FIAR compliance. You will utilize Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP) and Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO) program applications will be used for processing all material movement transactions for efficient management and accountability. You will be responsible for performing causative research and corrective actions for material discrepancies in both Navy ERP and CMPRO. You will operate a pick-up truck, 2.5-ton truck, panel van, and other vehicles.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing program applications (e.g. Navy ERP, CMPRO AND/OR other DoD supported automated material management software) to conduct receipt control, shipping, AND/OR disposal operations; AND monitoring and document material movement transactions for both incoming AND outgoing packages. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This position allows for substitution of education:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
