Duties

You will provide leadership, oversight and guidance on all logistics aspects of assigned projects/programs. You will provide input to Program Management in support of managing cost, schedule and product support performance. You will provide oversight to contractor team members conducting product support efforts. You will develop logistics acquisition documentation, provides input to other acquisition documentation, and determine the acceptability of contractor prepared logistics deliverables. You will communicate effectively with vendors, customers, peers, and management in order to complete tasking. You will be accountable for all aspects of Integrated Product Support (IPS) for the assigned program(s) and can also serve as an Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (APM-L) or an IPT Logistics Lead. You will Interface and communicate effectively with vendors, customers, peers, and management in order to complete tasking. You will conduct regular reviews for the Project/Program Manager, and as necessary develops/provides briefs or reports to customers and users. You will resolve technical or procedural deficiencies based on system readiness and life cycle cost data analysis.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: demonstrating skill in developing acquisition documents such as the Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Fielding Plans, Performance Work Statements, and other plans and demonstrating ability to apply IPS elements (sustaining engineering, training, maintenance planning, supply support, etc.) to plan and manage product support for communications.
