You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Business Directorate of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.
Duties
You will serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.
You will direct and/or performs continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provides recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will draft briefs of financial management policies, procedures, and issues for senior managers.
You will provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution.
You will conduct management evaluation of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, and recommends alternatives for corrective action.
You will prepare or reviews responses to external audits (e.g., FMB, GAO, etc.) which involve financial management policy and procedure.
You will promulgate approved financial management policies within the organizations based on DON policy and develops and issues implementing procedures.
You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Researching, analyzing, and applying accounting, budgeting, and financial policies, regulations and guidelines in support of financial management objectives; 2) Utilizing Dept. of Navy financial systems requirements e.g. SABRS, CFMS, Maximo, ERP etc.; 3) Analyzing, reviewing, and interpreting financial execution data and resolving variances; 4) Managing workload, setting priorities, and amending workflow; 5) Developing, preparing, and assembling charts, financial management reports, briefs, narratives, statistical material, monthly key success factors, instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); 6) Coordinating and facilitating management internal control reviews and audits involving financial management; and 7) Examining, verifying, validating, and reconciling fiscal accounts in financial systems.
