About the Position: The Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substance (PFAS) Integrator will leverage their multidisciplinary skill set combining knowledge of chemistry, toxicology, environmental science, regulatory affairs, and risk assessment to lead the integration of the PFAS Program within, but not limited to USACE Northwest Division.
Duties
As the team leader of assigned program(s), is delegated full authority for planning, organizing and directing daily activities within the team made up of MSC and District members.
Reviews and approves schedule and cost change requests and technical correspondence to ensure compliance with the latest policy.
Confers with other senior NWO staff managers to develop NWO position on critical policy issues with regional or national significant.
Forecasts future planning, design, and construction effort for the execution of projects and studies.
Reviews selected planning documents/PMPs on studies/projects/programs that may have regional or national significance to assure product schedule, cost, scope, acquisition plan and quality is consistent with commitments.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Incumbent is required to obtain, maintain, and possess Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in each of the following areas: 1) Managing high visibility environmental remediation projects and programs; AND 2) Experience using various remediation techniques for managing and mitigating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance contamination in the soil, groundwater, and other environmental media; AND 3) Monitoring project cost and schedules to ensure commitments are met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
