About the Position: This is a temporary position is with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Military Programs Directorate located in Omaha, Nebraska. Position may be filled as a temporary promotion NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition. Placement rights upon expiration of this temporary promotion must be coordinated with the losing and the gaining activities.

Duties

Exersice managerial and operational control over the assigned construction programs. Utilize Project Management Automated Information Systems and Enterprise data for life cycle program execution. Issue design and construction directives to subordinate offices. Provide authoritative interpretations of the organization's policy regarding cost and schedule control. Anticipate major programming needs/problems to provide timely, effective guidance on the management of assigned programs.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Manage a variety of complex construction programs; 2) Assist with establishing design, Information Systems, and construction management policies to facilitate implementation of construction program initiatives; 3) Resolve problems relating to design and construction delays, excessive costs, and other technical problems; 4) Prepare design and construction program data for special studies, presentations and other similar purposes; and 5) Utilize Automated Information Systems (AISs) and their corresponding data architecture /interfaces to conduct programming and data analytics for Project Management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13 or above). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementDecision MakingPlanning and EvaluatingProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Note: If this applies to you, please provide SF-50s that cover at least 1 year of employment at this level (or higher).
