About the Position: This position will exercise maximum authority and accountability for planning, directing, supervising, and coordinating all phases of Operation's Division mission.

Duties

Formulate and recommend general policies, procedures, and regulations for all operational activities of the district. Directs the operation of recreation areas, historical sites, overlooks, and nature centers. Direct the development and execution of an emergency operations plan for Omaha District’s water retaining structures. Responsible for the supervision of numerous services, supply, and law enforcement contracts through subordinate supervisors. Responsibility for planning and supervising river activities channel reconnaissance and maintenance, channel surveys, dredging and wreck removal on the Missouri River . inspect all construction, maintenance, and operation activities, observing working conditions, methods, procedures, rate of progress, and conditions of plant and equipment. Responsible for the management, supervision, and coordination of all Omaha district's hydroelectric power facilities. Responsible for investigations, surveillance, and inspection of construction activities. Maintain liaison with the public, newspapers, radio and television, Federal and local agencies, civic, social, and religious organizations, and law enforcement authorities on matters of mutual interest or concern.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Critical Sensitive with Top Secret access security clearance for the duration of employment in this position.
• This is a mandatory drug Testing Designated Position (TDP), in accordance with ER 690-1-1218, USACE Civilian Drug Free Workplace Program, dated 30 June 2021. Participation in the Mandatory Drug Testing Program is required.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
• Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a state issued driver’s license.
• Must complete a one-year supervisory probationary period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
