You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.

Duties

You will serve as Network Lead and have the responsibility for the design, implementation, operation, and monitoring or all network transport infrastructure providing network and data transfer services. You will provide configuration and management of network switches, routers, and data circuits used to provide round-the-clock availability of data and architecture. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of DREN and SDREN network service delivery and the accompanying integration of JMETC data collaboration and capabilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the tactical and strategic management of Command alarm monitoring data transport used to maintain the security and integrity of sensitive workplaces. You will ensure policy and security requirements are met to support business networks, Research Development Test and Evaluation networks, and cross-agency test event participation networks.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb and work in elevated spaces is required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing network and data transfer requirements to develop, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise-wide network and data circuit configurations for an organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
