Duties

You will support maintenance and expansion of the network infrastructure, including wired and wireless technologies, high level IT Project Management, Help Desk and Network level troubleshooting, account management, and project management. You will be responsible for establishing IT/Cybersecurity processes, policies and procedures. You will establish associate processes for accountability and develop standardized IT/Cybersecurity processes within the Washington Navy Yard and ensure the processes are effective and efficient. You will be responsible for all coordination of IT and Cybersecurity resources. You will be responsible for communicating and directing implementation of IT/Cybersecurity requirements, issues, inventories, and guidance to Department management, system owners, and the workforce.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 461- Systems Security Analyst, level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying customer service and information systems security principles to ensure IT compliance with Navy cybersecurity policies. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
