You will serve as an Electronics Technician in the Availability Integration Division, Modernization & Installation Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in San Diego CA or Norfolk, VA.
Duties
You will provide technical support to Amphibious Assault and Aircraft Carrier as well as Strike Group Combat Systems In-Service Engineering.
You will support planning, coordination, installation, and industrial testing of shipboard Combat Systems.
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and chairing Installation Coordination Team (ICT) meetings for Amphibious Assault and Aircraft Carrier ships throughout their availabilities.
You will provide feedback on availability planning, combat system testing events, hardware and software installations, combat system surveys, combat system alignments, and combat system certifications.
You will work with the Combat Systems Maintenance Coordinator (CSMC), Combat System Project Engineers (CSPE), and Combat System Test Directors (CSTD) to coordinate, develop, plan, and present ICT products to Ship’s Force and all relevant parties.
You will communicate with external customers including Commander, Naval Air Forces Pacific and Atlantic, Commander, Naval Surface Force Pacific (CNSP), and Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS 80).

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning or coordinating engineering technical projects for the testing of shipboard Combat Systems aboard Navy Aircraft Carriers.
