Duties

This position is located under the Office of Management (OM), Financial Management Division, Budget Branch in Washington, District of Columbia. The primary purpose of this position is to the Bureau's budget formulation and execution process. The incumbent assists the Branch Chief with his/her responsibility for formulating policies. plans, systems and procedures to manage and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall Bureau financial management.

This is a non-bargaining unit position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. To qualify for the GS-09, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-07. Specialized experience for the position includes: Providing program oversight to budget support and analysis functions for the division; and Assisting and participating in the compilation of budget requirements, presentations and execution; and Tracking and monitoring functions, preparation and analysis of budget related materials. OR Master's OR Equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. OR J.D. OR Combination of Education and Experience: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. This experience must have equipped you with the qualifications to perform the major duties of this position as described above. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
