This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Finance (FN)/Financial Management Division (FC).
This position(s) primary purpose is supporting activities related to the use of DEA's travel systems and managing the DEA's travel card program.

As a Financial Management Specialist (Travel) your typical work assignments may include:
Leveraging the travel management system expertise, to support a wide range of E2 Solutions (E2) or MLINQS operations & maintenance (O&M) activities.
Providing system testing, documentation, and communications to support system configuration and business process changes.
Analyzing, designing, testing, and supporting any enhancements or functionality changes to the travel software.
Ensuring the DEA is in compliance with the Fly America Act by reviewing all foreign airline reservations prior to travel.
Serving as an DEA Program Coordinator for the travel card program.
Initiating travel card applications, providing technical and policy support, processing account terminations, processing account credit limits, maintaining internal controls for the program, training cardholders and managers on how to access travel card statements and reports, and monitoring mandatory travel card training compliance

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
GS-12: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience or equivalent experience as a GS-11: 1) Administering and evaluating travel system or financial system requirements and compliance; 2) Assisting and resolving travelers issues using travel card system; travel booking engines, and a travel authorization/voucher system; 3) Assisting with the development of travel program guidance.
GS-13: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience or equivalent experience as a GS-12: 1) Administering and evaluating travel system or financial system requirements and compliance; 2) Evaluating and authoring travel program requirements, procedures, and guidelines; 3) Resolving unique and sporadic issues with travel systems performance, to include travel card administration systems, travel booking engines, and travel authorization/voucher systems.
