In this position you will manage all aspects of the Common Source Database (CSDB) that contains the Interactive Electronic Technical manual (IETM) and the conventional technical order digital files.

Manages all aspects of the program Technical orders digital information in the CSDB including hardware and software.
Handles permission/resource pools/workflow setup and support, and is responsible for database status, support, publishing support, workflow processes and hosting of CSDB on a server.
Receives and reviews information related to programming specifications, flowcharts, input/output formats, file and data module structures, verification status, and proposed equipment and operating systems.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Information and Technology Management positions located here.
GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes server operation and maintenance, currency of required operating software, status of text (SGML and XML) and graphic files, and data publishing modules, and ensuring all files are correct before updating the CSDB.
Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or similar field is desired.
Experience in computer programming, information systems, cybersecurity or similar field desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Ability to apply knowledge of current automation technology and practices. Knowledge of database integration frameworks, Data Dimensional Warehouse (DDW) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) methodologies and design for integration with AF and Command wide systems.
2. Ability to apply government policies, regulations, and procedures to MIS/COTS/GOTS databases. Knowledge/apply government rules, procedures, business practices, database standards, and configuration management.
3. Ability to complete assigned tasks for system/database development projects. Ability to evaluate applications and databases from an operational test and evaluation perspective.
4. Knowledge of computer security and information assurance
5. Knowledge of database management principles and practices, design concepts, tuning, and installation and maintenance
