You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist in the Hazardous Material (HAZMAT)/Pollution Prevention (P2) Branch within the SUP 04 ACOM of CNSSC.

Duties

You will establish and implement long-range, intermediate and short-term supply and logistics plans for NAVSUP Enterprise P2/HMC and M supply chain management programs. You will Interpret and apply DoD policy and coordinates Navy efforts to apply it. You will develop, establish and implement Navy Pollution Prevention (P2) and Hazardous Material Control and Management (HMCandM) Program strategies and procedures in support of DoD policy, as well as other supply chain initiatives as assigned. You will design, establish and update enterprise-wide reporting and evaluation systems to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency of pollution prevention/hazardous material control and management and other supply chain management programs.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Supply Management Specialist work applying a mastery knowledge of supply chain management principles, concepts, and regulations to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain management areas including Pollution Prevention (P2) and Hazardous Material Control and Management (HMC&M) Programs. You must have experience using analytical and evaluative methods to identify supply solutions and make recommendations to issues with enterprise-wide impact. Examples of specialized experience are as follows: 1) Assist in establishing and implementing long-range, intermediate and short-term supply and logistics plans for Pollution Prevention (P2) and Hazardous Material Control and Management (HMC&M) supply chain management programs; 2) Identify deficiencies in performance and recommend changes for correction; 3) Monitor P2 and HMC&M Programs at Echelon III activities; and 4) Submits recommendations for policy and issues or procedural changes to higher level management.
