THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Military), Position Description Number D1104000 and is part of the CO JFHQ G1, National Guard.

Duties

The purpose of this position is to supervise and manage two or more of the following human resource programs: Officer Personnel Management (OPM), Enlisted Personnel Management (EPM), Standard Installation and Division Personnel System (SIDPERS), Personnel Services Section, Medical Section, or the Education Section. Directly supervises and provides technical and administrative supervision over Human Resources Assistants (Military), Human Resources Specialists (Military), and specialist within the other specialized functions of the MILPO office. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of assigned program areas, ensuring that legal and regulatory requirements are met. Oversees and reviews the accounting of funds for accounts relating to the area of assignment which may include but is not limited to: NGB tours, incapacitation pay, medical care, clothing, educational bonuses and incentives, and recruiting and retention incentive payments; and requires exercising proper control measures, forecasting, and developing and conducting of internal audit reviews. Plans and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules. Meets with key customer and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Must be a current Permanent Dual Status Federal Technicians within the JFHQ-G1.
  • Must hold the grade of E-6 thru E-9, W-1 thru W-5, O-1 thru O-3.
  • Submit all required documentation.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E-6 thru E-9, W-1 thru W-5, O-1 thru O-3 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. 3. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience. DO NOT copy each bullet listed below word for word and place into your resume; you must describe your personal experience as it pertains to each bullet. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1. Experience involving the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and adapting advanced concepts, principles, and theories of Human Resources to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements. 2. Experience assisting in the development of Human Resources policies and procedures. 3. Experience advising management on Human Resources principles and practices. 4. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. 5. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Education

Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
