THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC (MILITARY), Position Description Number D1105000 and is part of the CO JFHQ G1, National Guard.
This position is located in the Military Personnel Office (MILPO) of the Army National Guard (ARNG).
Duties
The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise and guidance for all military personnel assigned in the state and oversee the functions of one of the following human resource programs: Officer Personnel Management (OPM), Enlisted Personnel Management (EPM), Integrated Personnel and Pay System- Army (IPPS-A), or the Personnel Services Section. Serves as an advisor to commanders on assigned unit human resources (HR) program. Responsible for and oversees the direction of the EPM or OPM program and functions as the technical expert. Responsible to become skilled in the use of the IPPS-A program and function as a technical expert. Accomplishes and oversees the accomplishment of technical support work in the program area assigned with the assistance of subordinate employees which may be Active Guard Reserve (AGR), full time Technician, or civilian. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Membership in the Colorado Army National Guard.
- Must hold the grade of W-2 or W-3.
- Submit all required documentation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Qualifications
Military Grades: W-2 or W-3
1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.
2. An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below.
3. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience.
4. If education or a degree is required as part of the "Specialized Experience", you must include transcripts.

Must have at least 24 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience in using reference and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments.
2. Experience performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data.
3. Experience in operating a computer, utilizing multiple computer programs, and performing keyboard functions.
4. Experience which provided a basic working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
