Duties
Serves as a logistics advisor to the United States Army John F. Kennedy Center and School Assistant Chief of Staff, G4, The Deputy G4, the Commandant and staff, and subordinate unit commanders.
Coordinates the logistics activities of the Command in such areas as logistics support, force modernization, logistics resource requirements and other similar activities.
Develops policies, plans, and instructions to ensure the most efficient and economical use of logistical resources.
Develops policies concerning transportation and movement of equipment and materiel to meet unit requirements.
Manages the Command's global logistics service support contract and serves as a Contracting Officer Representative on logistic requirements, contractor performance, and quality of logistics support.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- TDY may be up to 10%.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- One-year probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing technical logistical guidance, analyzing and inspecting equipment and facilities. 2) develop directives and plans for effectiveness and efficiency of related to logistical programs. 3) experience developing and implementing command readiness policies, regulations, and programs 4) experience preparing and presenting briefings to senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS 11).
