You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)in the Maritime Systems Engineering Branch, Code 56441 of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
Duties
You will be responsible for the technical coordination between all Branch projects and Autonomous Technologies Division, Code 56400, management functions.
You will be responsible to the Head of Autonomous Technologies Division for coordination of management of all projects within the Branch, including task proposals, task agreements, financial and technical status reporting, and future task planning.
You will coordinate with the other Branch Heads and program managers throughout the Division, Department, and Center, supporting the coordination of related technologies and cross training and assignments of personnel.
You will provides research, analysis, systems engineering, design, development, and/or test and evaluation using innovative methods to ensure state of- the-art underwater surveillance system.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: planning and execution support for U.S. Navy Information Technology (IT) Systems.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: coordinate with the other Branch Heads and program managers throughout the Division, Department, and Center; capable of interfacing with high-ranking military and civilian management personnel.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: works with each member of the branch to develop their respective annual STRL Contribution Plans, conducts and documents their performance reviews.r
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: applies Center IT policies, procedures, and requirements in their IT decision making.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing research, analysis, systems engineering, design, development, and/or test and evaluation using innovative methods to ensure state of- the-art underwater surveillance systems are delivered to Department of Navy (DoN) and Intelligence Communities (IC) programs. Knowledge in Program/Project management in RDT&E programs supporting intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance in the Naval environment.
