About the Position: This position is located in Fort Jackson, SC.
Duties
Incumbent serves as the Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) Directorate at a large multi-mission installation, responsible for execution of traditional DPTMS operations in support of garrison/tenant units
Executes the military training program in support of garrison, tenant and satellite units.
Develops and executes all contingency plans necessary for rapid reaction to domestic emergencies, acts of terrorism, and natural disasters associated with earthquakes and weather phenomena.
Directs the garrison's personnel security, intelligence and counter intelligence programs.
Oversees the direct management and operation of the garrison's deployment operations.
Provides consultation and advice to supported garrison, tenant and satellite units on all security issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
- This position requires Secret security clearance.
- This position is designated as Emergency-Essential (E-E).
- This position requires an occasional TDY.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which includes analyzing and evaluating major aspects of security, mobilization and deployment projects to resolve issues that directly affect the accomplishment of the mission; reviewing long-range plans, goals and objectives for work directed; formulating local policies and procedures to implementing local guidance; and supervising a team of subordinate staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
