About the Position: This position is located at the Homeland Defense/ Civil Support Office on Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Analyze established and proposed operating programs to evaluate their actual and/or potential effectiveness in achieving objectives.
Perform program budgeting scheduling and planning that involves formulating both broad and specific guidelines.
Interpret policies, program documents and regulations, and provides advice and assistance to the Director to resolve problems and maintain continuity of work and training development mission.
Evaluate functional areas and makes recommendations for improvement to management.
Determine alternative courses of action and develops recommended changes in program goals based on tradeoffs in time, cost, and manpower requirements.
Develop scheduling reviews, charts, and forms for internal and higher authority use that depict program progress.
Develop and present recommended corrective actions or solutions for approval in problem areas.
Provide general and logistical support services to all divisions and branches within the department.
Requirements
- The position requires that the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience - One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing operating programs; performing program and budget scheduling and planning; reviewing regulatory guidance; providing logistical support services to all divisions/branches; developing objectives, resource requirements and overall program plans; conducting program and budget planning studies; evaluating objectives, program goals and resource availability and/or interpreting and advising on policy, program documents and regulations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
