This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Compliance.
A Program Analyst in the Office of Compliance, External Audit Liaison Section, oversees audits of DEA programs conducted by external audit agencies.

As a Program Analyst, your typical work assignments may include:
Communicates with agency offices regarding external audit liaison activities.
Recommends updates to agency policy for compliance with statutory or regulatory requirements.
Tracks subject matter experts' progress to resolve open audit recommendations, provides periodic status updates to external audit agencies and DEA leadership, and requests closure of recommendations once corrective actions are complete.
Reports to DEA management and external audit agencies on the design and implementation of internal control processes for the DEA.
Supports administrative functions including, budget formulation, records management, and SharePoint and MS Teams design and maintenance.
Conducts briefings and educates internal and external audiences about the DEA's Compliance Program and the External Audit Liaison Section's roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-13..
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
One year of specialized experience for this position includes: 1) Supporting an organization with a variety of public administration programs; 2) Leading teams or working groups with auditing, internal controls, or risk assessment duties; 3) Planning compliance management, cycles, guidelines, and policies.
