About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to plan and present communicative skills instruction for the U.S. MEDCoE Captains Career Course (MCCC), Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC), International Officer Program, (IOP), and staff and faculty of the Health Readiness Center of Excellence (HRCoE).
This position is a TEMPORARY position and may be extended in 1 year increments up to a maximum of 3 years.
Duties
Duties require a thorough knowledge of the Army writing style, fundamentals of communication (i.e., listening, speaking, and writing), and general English linguistics.
Duties also require basic knowledge of theories, principles and techniques of adult education.
The Incumbent is responsible for courses covering advanced technical systems and subject-matters.
Serves as subject matter expert and advisor on communicative skills subjects for the staff and faculty of HRCoE to include installation and tenant activities.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Demonstrating a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes: applying principles and techniques of education to help students acquire communication and writing skills; maintaining distributed learning courses and determines the need for and initiate changes/updates in course content; developing training materials to meet program objectives; and evaluating student progress and providing feedback of training results. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade level position in the federal service (GS-09).
