You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist in the Information & Communication Technology Division, Assistant Chief of Staff, Communications and Information Systems (AC/S CIS) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will serve as a liaison between MCIWEST-G6 and several service providers, such as a AT and T, T-Mobile or other Telecommunication System Providers. You will possess practical knowledge of mission goals as applicable to support MCB CPEN both locally and globally. You will monitor administrative processes to ensure operators are implementing and utilizing available resources to provide first rate customer satisfaction. You will make recommendations on ways to improve protocols and adjust requirements to provide compatibility with diverse changes.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• This is a bargaining unit position.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, procedures, and requirements that demonstrated knowledge of current developments and trends in communications concepts and technology.
