You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the HEADQUARTERS MARINE CORPS WEST of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will provide local electromagnetic spectrum management, planning, policy, prioritization, and resources for MCIWEST and regionally supported commands. You will validate, coordinate, and submit permanent frequency assignments for the MCIWEST. You will establish procedures and guidance for the accurate assignment, and identification of decencies within the electromagnetic spectrum. You will provide continues oversight and administration of MCI policy, management and use of the electromagnetic spectrum. you will ensure MCI compliance with applicable international, national, DoD Joint, Don and marine Corps statutory and regulatory policies. You will provide technical training and advice to MCIWEST installations in the joint Automated CEOI system (JACS),

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position may require to be Recalled to Duty outside normal scheduled hours
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: timely and accurate identification, reporting, electromagnetic interference (EMI); provide supervision, management, support, planning, briefing, and training in electromagnetic spectrum related issues, establish procedures and guidance for the accurate assessment, coordination, and identification of discrepancies within the electromagnetic spectrum.
