Duties
As a KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Plan, organize, and carry out assigned JPSE's KM activities, ensuring that KM plans comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
Develop goals and objectives that integrate the organization, DoD, and joint forces' objectives.
Conduct specialized information research to support JPSE, Joint Task Force, Joint Force Commanders, and CCMD.
Serve as a final evaluator responsible for the standardization of KM knowledge methodologies across all components encompassing all joint programs.
Develop, implement, coordinate, direct and/or monitor KM programs, processes, and criteria for evaluating tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) in support of the JPSE,CCMD, and Joint Force Commands, and Joint Task Forces.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Assisting with projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations to include adapting or developing new or modified methods.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SharePoint to portray Knowledge Management methodologies, as well as skill in application of automated systems.
Assisting with Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) methods, including Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and DoD Enterprise Architecture Framework (DoDAF) processes, tools, and best practices.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
