Duties
Works within Army Military Pay to develop, review, and revise instructional training documents and training programs.
Ensuring that financial systems provide proper support to Military Pay mission.
Analyzes systems and procedural changes to determine training requirements and implements changes to functional training courses or initiates development of new training interventions.
Conducts follow-up training sessions involving all aspects of Active and Reserve military pay entitlements, collections, and deduction.
Analyzes production reports, error listings, etc., from individual work areas generated by the automated system, and reports of errors manually tracked in the work areas to determine production and procedural related problems.

- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service
- Obtain/Maintain Financial Management Certification
Qualifications
Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-11 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-09 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as providing in depth instruction and training resources related to Department of Defense automated accounting and/or payment systems; experience as a writer/developer for formalized instruction, and/or experience delivering financial training. Examples of specialized experience include: providing formal or informal training in the use of automated financial management tools; developing and maintaining user training guides; compiling supplemental resource information for users of automated financial systems.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of knowledge, skills and abilities, or competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Education
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT GS-11 LEVEL(2-grade): Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
