About the Position: This position is located at TRADOC, DCS G-8, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, York County, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield.

Duties

Leveraging data analytic methodologies and data analytic tools to improve business processes and data integrity. Execute cross functional management studies to identify opportunities to leverage data analytics methodologies to solve problems and garner organization efficiencies. Prepare written technical reports, briefings, correspondence and effectively articulate study findings.

Requirements

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one- year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 10% of the time.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT LEVEL 2 CERTIFIED - must be able to obtain this certification within 24 months from hire date.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) developing and delivering state-of-the art (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.) data analytic solutions; 2) utilizing analytical and evaluative methods to conduct business process studies to effectively deliver technical solutions and/or; 3) applying expert knowledge of Financial/Resource Management processes and Army Enterprise Resource Planning systems to deliver multi-functional data analytic solutions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data ManagementTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
