Duties

Serve as the Primary or Assistant Instructor for Cyber and IT related topics while demonstrating effective public speaking. Maintain user accounts within the systems and diagnoses user problems to initiate appropriate corrective action. Provide training that meets the goals for cybersecurity training, education, and awareness applying concepts. Perform reviews and recommend changes to National, DoD, and Army Cyberspace Operations doctrine.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • TDY may be up to 25% or more.
  • This is a Drug testing position.
  • May be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience in cyber instruction and training administration. 2)Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and implementation of cyber training initiatives and programs of instruction. 3)Supporting Cyber Operations and Planning to include Coordinating with various organizations across the Department of Defense, US Cyber Command, ARCYBER, other Service Cyber Component Commands, or other SOCOM units. 4)Performing Information Technology Administrator support such as assisting with Blackboard, portal, maintaining incident tracking or investigating and resolving problems. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Curriculum DevelopmentEducation / Training Program AdministrationEducation and Training TechnologyOral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
