Duties

You will conduct on-site and remote information systems operations, perform analysis, design, development, testing, installation, configuration; monitor a variety of complex networked operating systems, and information security solutions. You will develop, test, deploy, and secure messaging and collaboration solutions; ensure appropriate information assurance security posture by applying critical operating system and platform firmware. You will develop documentation for and to test new server and component platforms; effort includes base system configuration for all server platforms and components to ensure available platform resources for current and future engineering projects. You will identify cybersecurity objectives and requirements, incorporate into integration plans, and document all project phases; perform analysis of alternatives to propose alternative solutions and technical integration approaches. You will monitor system event logs and analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system and user-reported errors/alerts to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. You will provide technical input and contribute to the development of IT services contracts, discuss, develop, and document technical solutions for information systems including datacenter security stacks, LAN/WAN infrastructures and cloud services. You will provide IT subject matter expertise, analysis, and problem solving through appropriate use of oral, written, organization, coordination, and leadership skills.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 632 Advance Level within 12 months of appointment.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting on-site and remote information systems operations and/or performing analysis/design on a variety of complex networked operating systems, and information security solutions connected to Local Area Network, Global Wide Area Network, and cloud infrastructures.
