You will serve as a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), in the Machinery Research, Logistics, and Ship Integrity Department, C/30, Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia of NSWC PHILA DIV.

Duties

You will conduct vulnerability assessments with automated tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). You will implement Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). You will implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes. You will have experience in planning, executing, or monitoring one or more RMF projects You will conduct Security Content Automation Protocols (SCAP) scans.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for 46-System Security Management, Advanced Proficiency, within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting vulnerability assessments, risk mitigation strategies, or system upgrades to enhance cybersecurity posture, for alignment with established RMF guidelines and IT security standards.
