You will serve as a IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the SURFACE SHIP TEST & PROGRAMS DIV (Code 21) within the MACHINERY PROGRAMS & PLATFORMS DEPT of NSWC PHILA DIV.

Duties

You will apply expertise in Project Management to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM and E) systems through information systems security programs, policies, procedures and goals. You will coordinate with the Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs), and Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to conduct risk and vulnerability assessments, audits and annual security reviews. You will be responsible for oversight of lab cybersecurity requirements, processes, procedures, planning, implementation, training, and sustainment activities required to maintain cybersecurity compliance for Code 20 managed test sites and labs. You will analyze, plan, design, implement, document, assess and manage the ASHORE Risk Management Framework portfolio to align strategy, plan, and systems with mission, goals, structure and processes of the organization and Warfare Center Leadership. You will prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and procedure documentation in coordination with NSWCPD leadership, Warfare Center working groups, and NAVSEA requirements.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Advanced level 802 within 12 months of appointment.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing, implementing, and coordinating cybersecurity processes or procedures to ensure systems compliance with IT security policies. Additionally, your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
